Activity 1: While in Taupo, you go for a walk around the lake and you notice pieces of rubbish floating in the water. You also notice that there is rubbish on the footpath. As you know, it is really important to put rubbish in the bin and keep New Zealand clean and beautiful for generations to come. With that in mind, it is time think about what you can do to keep New Zealand beautiful. Use your imagination and come up with three things that you could do to make your neighborhood more beautiful. Post your list on your blog.
I would talk to the families around my street and see if I can form some kind of group that helps to keep our nieghbourhood clean and to inspire other neighbourhoods to do the same. First we will have Monday,Wednesday and Friday as a day to collect rubish around our area and make our neighbourhood clean and rusbishless.
Great plan, Stanley. Having a specific idea as to how to deal with neighbourhood garbage is excellent. I find that people are much more willing to help out on a project if they know exactly what they're being asked to do and if it's in everyone's interest to participate. Well done!!
