Weekly Activity- Bonus Activity (Day 2)

C:\Users\rwil313\Desktop\No Girls Allowed Sign.jpg Weekly Activity

During the ancient Olympic Games, men were allowed to compete in the events but women were not. In fact, women were often forbidden from even watching the games. In your opinion, is this a fair rule? Why or why not? On your blog please tell us what you think about this interesting rule.

My Opinion:

I think the rule for Olympics was unfair for women because, they could not watch the game or participate and I think that the women would have done just as good as the men could.

  1. I completely agree, Stanley! I think that women are just as capable as men of competing successfully at the Olympics. I am so relieved that the modern day Olympic committee agrees with us and has allowed both men and women to participate in the games.

On that note, I wonder how our men and women from New Zealand will do at the Rio Olympics. I hope that they have a very successful competition and are able to perform at their very best. I will definitely make time to watch the Olympics when they are televised this August. Will you be able to watch any of the events on TV?

    Cheers, Rachel
