Activity 1
Think about all of the books that you have read this year and recommend one for Curious Kiwi to read. On your blog list the title and author of the book and then provide a short description of it. What is the book about?
Somebody Loves You Mr Hatch
An old man named Mr Hatch received a big box of chocolate with a little card saying "Somebody Loves You" from the postman. Mr Hatch Wasn't so happy and active before receiving the chocolate and the card, he was usually a grey and lonely soul. After reading the card, Mr Hatch was the happiest man on earth. A few days later from receiving the chocolates and card, he found out that the chocolates we not for him and that original address was mistaken. The Next day everyone recognized Mr hatch had gone back to his old ways being sad and lonely. Everyone understood what he was going through, so they knew they had to do something. The next morning Mr Hatch was getting ready to leave, as soon as he walked out his whole house was decorated and the whole neighbor hood shouted "We All Love You Mr Hatch"

Hey Stanley,
ReplyDeleteI think Curious Kiwi would really enjoy the book you have recommended for him. Thank you for sharing your ideas and the description of the book! I felt sad for Mr Hatch when I read that the chocolates weren't for him, but it sounds like he lives in a very loving, caring neighbourhood where everyone looks out for one another which is awesome.
Sometimes people who live alone in their old age are very lonely, especially if not many people come to visit them. So it's really important that we all look out for one another like they did for Mr Hatch. Even something simple like popping over for a cup of tea and a biscuit can really make someone's day :-) I hope you look out for your friends and family just like they do for Mr Hatch.
Thanks for a great recommendation Stanley!
Dan.
