Activity 2

Most of us like to watch TV when we have the chance. One of my favourite television shows, at the moment, is called Veep. It’s a show about a woman who becomes the President of the United States. It’s pretty funny! I watch Veep on HBO every Monday night.

What is your favourite television show at the moment? On your blog, tell us the name of your favourite television show and tell us, briefly, what it is about.


 My Favourite Show:
Mako Mermaids

Storyline :
Mako mermaids is about a boy turning into a merman in the island of Mako, which are home to a pod of powerful mermaids. 3 mermaids fail to keep the moon pool safe which caused the land boy to fall into the moon pool during a full moon and turn into a merman. The 3 mermaids on guard were banished from the pod of Mako, which caused the pod to leave Mako and find a new home for it was not safe anymore. Before leaving one the 3 mermaids had a older sister, Aquata. Aquata leaves her sister with a powerful ring that holds power of the moon. The 3 mermaids used the Moon Ring and turned them selves into human girls in order to tun the land boy back into a human.

Bonus Activity

According to the Love New Zealand website, the most popular sports in New Zealand are rugby union, rugby league, netball, soccer and cricket. In your opinion, which of these sports is the best one? On your blog tell us which sport you think is the best. Be sure to tell us why. Give us as many reasons as you can!


The Best Sport :
Netball

The reason why I chose Netball is because .....

- Injuries in Rugby Union & League are very critical, you might try and try and bump someone off then you hurt your shoulders. Plus what if you try and fend someone then you might break your wrist.

- Injuries in Cricket might be very painful even though you use armor. What if you are batting, then all of a sudden you bat it right into someones face or somewhere even worse!!!!

- In soccer you might be defending your goal and when the ball is coming you might not be concentrating and then all a sudden the ball hits you in your face or even worse. Plus if your a player you might try to kick the ball but then you slip and fall forward or you might hit your back.

In Netball, you might just fall and scrape your knee or a body part but if will heal, but if you break your ankle just be thankful you didn't end up in a even worse position.

My Sport Hero :
Valarie Adams

Valarie Adams is a New Zealand Athlete, she has 2 siblings and shes 32 years old. Her mother sadly died when Valarie was a teenager in 2000, in 2006 Valerie Became a Shot Put Athlete for New Zealand.  Valarie Adams is my favourite sport hero because she is a very strong person, even though her mum died she got through it. Also she is a very muscular woman and she broke the college record for Shot Put. Last of all shes my favorite because shes Tongan.

My Sport :
Rugby Union

This is me playing with my 2 brothers and 3 of my cousins.

The reason why I chose Rugby Union, is because I use to play for Varsity (Rugby Team). Also I like running with the ball and fending people. Plus it's so FUN bumping people off while try to score a try!
