Bonus Activity

Make a word poem called a ‘wordle’ using your packing list (i.e. the list of of things you are taking with you on your trip). To make a wordle you need to go to the Wordle website [http://www.wordle.net/create]. Enter the words for all of your items into the box provided and click ‘Go.’ The website will create a wordle for you. Save the wordle and then post it on your blog.

To find out more about the weather in your chosen country log onto the Accu Weather website [http://www.accuweather.com]. Type the name of the capital city of your country into the search bar. It will tell you what the weather is going to be like in your country of choice. Imagine that you have been asked to create your very own airline. What would you call it? Design a simple logo for your airline and post it on your blog. You must include a short explanation of your logo below the picture.

If I had the chance to create my very own airline I would call it "South pacific Airlines" because the south pacific is where I come from. Here is what my logo would look like.

Explanation Of My Logo:
On each flower there is two colors that represents two things that the islands cherish. The blue flower represents the beautiful blue oceans that connect us all together. The yellow flower represents the beautiful yellow sun that shines on all of us and guides the way.

Activity 1

Watch both of the current Air New Zealand safety videos. The first is a video that stars the All Blacks. The second is a video that stars Rhys Darby and Anna Faris (Hollywood actress).  Links for the videos are found below:

Once you have finished watching the videos, go to your blog and list three things that you need to do to stay safe on an airplane.



Three things that you need to do to keep safe on a airplane:




1. If there is a emergency during your landing or your departure you need to fasten your seat belt and make sure that your feet is placed on the ground strongly. After that make sure your leaning forward so that your forehead is touching the seat in front of you and keep you feet strongly on the ground. If the seat in front of you is to far to reach or if there is none in front of you, place both hands on your head and both elbows on each side of you knees and once again keep your feet on the ground and keep calm.


2. When you put your belt on make sure you hear that click to ensure that your belt is fasten. Ensure that you always have it on every time you are in your seat for it is for your own safety, or if you need to take to go to the toilets or any other business  then you can take it off but make sure your reason is necessary.











3. NO SMOKING in the plane, that includes electric smokes and etc.

On your blog, tell us what two things you would like to do if you had the chance to visit Wellington. Would you go to the botanical gardens or visit the Beehive? Perhaps you would prefer to go shopping on Cuba Street or go out for dinner on Quay Street…

2 Things I'll Do In Wellington:

1. The first thing I'll do if I had the opportunity to go to Wellington would be going to the Space Planetarium at the top of Botanic Gardens because it looks very interesting and plus I haven't been to one.











2. The second thing I'll do if I had the opportunity to go to Wellington would be riding on the cable cars where it takes you to many beautiful views of Wellington.
