Week 3 - Weekly Activity Day 3 (Bonus Activity)

Bonus Activity
There are literally dozens of different types (‘genres’) of music in the world, including classical, rock ‘n roll, Rhythm & Blues (R&B), pop, hip hop, rap, jazz, etc. Some musicians play on their own and some play as part of a band. Arguably, the most influential band of all time is The Beatles. They were a rock band from Liverpool, England.
Dozens of movies have been made about the band. The most recent was a documentary called ‘The Beatles: 8 Days a Week – The Touring Years.’ Watch the trailer for this movie.
After you have finished, tell us two things that you learned about the Beatles from watching this trailer. They can be any two interesting facts!

My Interesting Facts :
1. Did you know that the leader of the Beatles was assassinated by one of his fans.
2. Did you know that during their concerts most of their girl fans faint because they are to obsessed and they scream to much.

  1. hey Stanley,

Wow great facts you have been putting great effort into your work.

    Katelyn :)

  2. Hi Stanley,

These are great facts - interesting and quite dramatic! It is true that dozens of girls used to faint at each of The Beatles' shows and performances. They were absolutely smitten with the band and often became overwhelmed by the mere sight of them.

The Beatles have often been referred to as the 'original rock stars' and many people have termed the constant hysteria that followed the band, 'Beatlemania.' Everyone were crazy about The Beatles. They were followed absolutely everywhere that they went!

Sadly, the craziness spread a bit too far when one of the band members, John Lennon, was shot dead by a crazed fan named Mark David Chapman. Lennon's death is one of the greatest music-related tragedies of the past century. While Lennon wasn't the official leader of The Beatles, he was a very influential member of the band.

Great job with this activity, Stanley. You have uncovered two very important facts.

    Keep up the great work!

    Rachel :)
